01 · UNDERSTAND
HIGH-FIDELITY PDF TRANSLATION
Translate every sentence.Preserve every page.
zauso uses frontier language models to understand the whole document, a deterministic PDF engine to reconstruct the original page, and page-by-page release checks before delivery.
Invitation-only pilot · Customer-owned or licensed documents · Human support
Translucent paper pages passing through an optical calibration line, representing translation with preserved layout
BUILT AROUND THE PAGE
We do not pour extracted text into a new template.
Most document translation starts with text. zauso starts with PDF operators, region geometry, reading order, and the rendered page together. The model interprets; the release engine holds the boundaries.
02 · RECOMPOSE
Clone the page. Replace only approved regions.
Images, vectors, links, forms, and page boxes stay intact while confirmed text operators are replaced.03 · VERIFY
Uncertainty blocks delivery
Missing text, changed facts, overflow, or visual anomalies stop the release and remain visible in the quality evidence.TRANSLATION LENS
Move the seam between two languages on the same page.
The translation does not begin on a blank canvas. Hierarchy, image relationships, column measure, and reading rhythm still belong to the source.
SYSTEMS & EVIDENCE
What survives a translation?
Meaning comes first. But hierarchy, evidence, and the pace of a page carry meaning too.
“The page is not a container. It is part of the argument.”
- Column measure held
- Images not resampled
- Numbers verified
A CONTROLLED PIPELINE
Every step from upload to delivery has a defined boundary.
Generative reasoning handles what it is good at. File access, page reconstruction, and the release decision stay under repeatable engineering controls.

PAGE MAP
Map
Inventory page boxes, text operators, reading order, imagery, links, and scanned pages. - 02
LANGUAGE PLAN
Interpret
Translate in document context while protecting numbers, names, formulas, and immutable facts. - 03
NATIVE PDF
Recompose
Remove matched source text and place the translation into the cloned native PDF. - 04
RELEASE GATE
Release
Audit text coverage, structural facts, and three visual views before publishing.
QUALITY IS A RELEASE DECISION
Quality is not a model opinion. It is evidence that can stop a release.
zauso checks searchable text, PDF structure, and the final render independently. High-stakes documents still require professional review; machine output is never presented as certified translation.
Language integrity
Checks missing translation, unresolved OCR, suspicious compression, and cross-page context.
Fact integrity
Protects numbers, dates, identifiers, URLs, authorship, and immutable strings.
Layout integrity
Checks overflow, occlusion, page boxes, rotation, cropping, and source-text residue.
Visual consistency
Reviews source, pixel-difference, and overlay views for every rendered page.
WHERE FIDELITY PAYS
For work where page context cannot be discarded.
Investment & diligence
Annual reports, filings, market research, and cross-border materials.
Keep numbers, charts, and footnote relationships traceable.Research & knowledge
Papers, policy documents, think-tank reports, and long-form sources.
Preserve citation structure with source, translation, and bilingual reading.Industrial & technical
Equipment manuals, standards, training packs, and tender documents.
Keep terminology consistent and protect identifiers, warnings, and captions.Localization & publishing
Combine first-pass translation, DTP, and QA into one controlled pipeline.
For content with the necessary translation and distribution rights.PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE
Private documents are not treated as public content.
Documents, jobs, and artifacts are bound to an owner. Private file routes prohibit public caching and search indexing, and model calls do not depend on persistent server-side conversation state.
Owner-scoped access
Every document and artifact lookup must also match the current owner.
Artifact integrity
Size and SHA-256 are checked before first download; paths must remain inside controlled storage.
Fail-closed processing
Incomplete recognition, reconstruction, or QA stops the job instead of filling gaps by guesswork.
DESIGN PARTNER PILOT
Prove value on real, difficult documents before scaling.
The current paid pilot is invitation-only, with manual activation, quality review, and issue follow-up. We do not sell unlimited usage.
Professional pilot
Includes the first 3 pages; additional pages depend on length and complexity.
- Native and scanned PDFs
- Downloadable layout-faithful translation
- Source / translation / bilingual reading
- Quality reports and explicit failure reasons
- Human support throughout the pilot

COMMON QUESTIONS
Before you upload the first file.
01How is zauso different from a typical PDF translator?
Typical services extract text and regenerate a document. zauso uses the source PDF as the publication base, replaces only confirmed text regions, and audits language, structure, facts, and final rendering separately.
02Can it process scanned PDFs?
Scans can enter the OCR path, but processing continues only when text coverage and background conditions are auditable. Unreadable pages fail explicitly instead of disappearing silently.
03Can I use it for legal, medical, or regulatory files?
Use it as machine-assisted translation and layout processing, not as a substitute for final review by a lawyer, clinician, certified translator, or other qualified professional.
04Will my uploaded documents be public?
No. Private documents and artifacts are owner-scoped, excluded from sitemaps, and served with controls that prohibit public caching and search indexing.
05Can I translate magazines and commercial publications?
Only when you own the file and have the required translation, reproduction, and distribution rights. The pilot does not provide unauthorized content.
BRING A DIFFICULT PDF
The best demo is not a clean marketing sample.
Bring a document that is genuinely complex, genuinely important, and previously required manual DTP. Let the result decide whether zauso belongs in your workflow.
